Rhodotus Palmatus: A Biomorphic Study

By studying the geometries of a Rhodotus Palmatus Mushroom, I learnt the forms which enable the mushroom’s channels to interweave within themselves and develop a network of knots. Through layering, the knots combine to create a hierarchy of surfaces. By extracting the most structural and systematic geometries created by the mushroom, I developed an analogue to inhabit an area between two waterfalls in Serra da Bocaina, São Paulo, Brazil.
